Newbie is in his spot on top of the old TV. Christmas is all around him. He is being real good so Santa is good to him.

Today was the start. The start of Christmas decorating. We have our tree on the deck with the snowman watching over it. We tried to finish up the Fall tasks, covering the ponds, putting stuff away, covering the pots, and making sure everything is closed up for the winter. This has been a sad few weeks. First, we had to take down and store the Halloween decorations, put up the Thanksgiving few things, then take down the Thanksgiving things, and now we start Christmas decorating. Time is really speeding by. In a few short weeks it will be 2016!

We spent the day down in the place I was born in touring the country side, looking up the old homestead, having lunch and dinner with the foods I grew up with, and generally remembering the place I spent my first ten years on this rock floating through space. It is always good to reconnect once in awhile. We come back just about every year, but things change since I left 55 years ago. This image is of a farm outside Monticello that this farmer collects railroad items for his own track. But it sums up what has Monticello was, farms, cows and a railroad. Now 55 years later, there are still farms, just not as many, cows, not as many, and the railroad is gone replaced by a bike path. This little collection is all that remains of the railroad that used to run through town.

So I left for work in the dark, worked longer than scheduled, left work for home in the dark and now as I sit here with no imaged captured today, Kali looks at me. I just had to capture her eyes.

Our Thanksgiving morning was spent visiting Ann’s family cemeteries to add Christmas wreaths and flowers to the graves. This image is of one of the oldest.

So after we got all that snow last weekend, it started to get warmer this week and the snow started to melt. Under the snow up popped these flowers?!?!?! It is November in Wisconsin! Snap-Dragons in November. I guess they did not know any better. They are a little worse for the wear, but they did try to brighten up our November.

Normally I am not out of work in time to see the sunsets, but I had to go into work early today. When I was leaving I was able to capture the last of today’s sunset. This might be the last sunset of the month. I need to broaden my horizons.

On my way to Physical Therapy I was lucky enough to capture the fading sunset on the West side of Madison. That is the 23,795th sunset that I have experienced. I have not actually seen them all, but the ones I have seen have been great and beautiful.

Bad Fish Creek is always a great place to capture an image. It was a nice, but cold day here in Southern Wisconsin.

We did get our snow storm. Lots of snow and wind. Today was the opposite of yesterday. Today colder, more wind, more clouds, dreary, lots of snow, and harder to get around. We did get around, but it was harder than yesterday. My Tree looks different from yesterday.
